Giovanni Pellerito is the Founder and CEO of GP Communications North America Inc., based in New York.
Over the course of his 30-year career, he has led brand management and institutional and international positioning strategies for leading Italian institutions and major brands.
In 2000, he served as Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Top Finanza, an online financial newspaper and portal providing in-depth coverage of international economic and financial issues. For Top Finanza, he authored several in-depth articles that received significant acclaim from the financial community, including: “New Economy or the Death of Capitalism” – “Journey into Cyber-Ethical Finance” (October 2000)
In 2005, he published “Svolta a Sud Focus Mezzogiorno,” an in-depth report on the macroeconomic data of Southern Italy, on behalf of the Italian Minister for Development and Territorial Cohesion
In 2007, he received the MEDIABILE Award: Award for the best national online institutional strategy
In 2010, he founded BENVENUTA ITALIA, a bilingual (Italian-English) quarterly magazine dedicated to Italy’s greatest achievements worldwide, considered one of the most successful magazines in the field of Italy brand management.
In 2012, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in London, he coordinated the presence of several major Italian brands during the London Olympics.
In 2013, as director of Benvenuta Italia, he oversaw the institutional communications for the Year of Italian Culture in the U.S. on behalf of the Italian Embassy in Washington.
In 2014, he created the Italian Brand Ambassador Award, dedicated to prominent American executives who contribute to the growth of Made in Italy through their work; the award ceremony in New York was co-organized by ICE USA and the Ministry of Economic Development.
In September 2015, Giovanni Pellerito served as Brand Positioning Advisor for the Italy America Chamber of Commerce in New York
In December 2015, he was invited to speak on Reputation Marketing and Brand Positioning at Queens College – City University of New York
